Rodrigo Bastidas, general producer of Enloce 2024, tells us about this new edition of the congress, which will be held at the Valparaíso Passenger Terminal.
What is the objective of this congress?
The objective of this meeting is to share with the community the latest trends that are leading the port logistics industry and how these can be scaled locally. In addition, we seek to strengthen the logistics ecosystem of the fifth region and project it to the country, with a focus on the logistics future of Chile.

Everyone involved in the logistics and foreign trade ecosystem in the fifth region should attend. Enloce 2024 will be a space where attendees will be able to witness, free of charge, diverse international and national professionals, participating in relevant discussions and gaining valuable learnings on the current challenges and opportunities in logistics and foreign trade.
Where and when will the event take place?
Enloce will be held on August 22 at the Passenger Terminal of the port of Valparaíso. The inauguration of the congress is scheduled for 9:00 hrs. The venue has parking lots and the possibility of arriving by subway, since Francia station is connected to the place.
What activities are scheduled and what is the main attraction of the event?
The Enloce 2024 program is divided into three blocks, each with topics highly relevant to the challenges facing the sector:
“Foreign Trade Looking to the Future” (09:40 to 11:30 hrs): topics related to the vision for the future in the economic, geopolitical and port capacity will be addressed. Participants will include Roberto Darrigrandi, economist; Guillermo Holzmann, political scientist; Daniel Fernández, president of CAMPORT; and Franco Gandolfo, general manager of Empresa Portuaria de Valparaíso. The block will end with a panel discussion moderated by Amy Mazza Brink Jensen, general manager of ALOG Chile.
“Technological Present and Future in the Context of Logistics and Foreign Trade” (12:20 to 13:45 hrs): Topics such as cybersecurity and the impact of artificial intelligence on the global and local logistics system will be discussed. Dr. Claudio Álvarez, from Universidad de Los Andes; Elena Villalobos, data and behavioral scientist (Mexico); Juan Pablo Arias, Manager, Systems Engineering – Chile at Fortinet; and Diego López Dinamarca, port expert consultant at Indra Chile. Dr. Leslie Pérez, professor at PUCV, will moderate.
“Impact on the new way of seeing business with a sustainable perspective” (15:00 to 17:00 hrs): Topics such as people’s safety, climate change, renewable energies and the importance of carbon neutrality will be discussed. The speakers will be Dennis Chinchilla, president of Intermaris; Dr. Josefa Ibaceta, general manager of ECIT; Dr. Patricio Winckler, from the University of Valparaíso; and Gianfranco Marcone, meteorologist. Karla González, from SOCHID, will be the moderator.
